Sypher is the ninth episode of the first season.

Summary

Drake Sypher possesses the power to absorb the abilities of anyone that touches him, and decides he should be the one person getting the fame and glory of being a hero. He first steals the abilities of a star "Basherball" player and scores the winning shot, then steals Ace and Rev's abilities since the two were in attendance at the game. Zadavia assigns Lexi as the team leader and sends the Loonatics to stop a dam from bursting, where Sypher fights the team and adds Lexi and Slam's powers to his own. Duck is then made the leader of the team.

During a parade, Tech and Duck’s powers are taken in a fight with Sypher. Tech builds special suits for the Loonatics to fight Sypher. They attack and realize Sypher is trying to keep away from them. The Loonatics figure out that they can touch Sypher in order to get their abilities back. After taking back their powers from Sypher, the Loonatics defeat him and Sypher is sent to jail. Zadavia congratulates them and tells Duck he is not the leader anymore.

Goofs

• The animation is inconsistent with the discolored eyes indicating which Loonatics have been the victims of Sypher's power-stealing; sometimes the affected Loonatics have their normal eye colors and unaffected Loonatics have discolored eyes before having their powers taken.
